A torn mesh panel and a bent or missing frame are different problems, and they should not automatically get the same repair.
Torn mesh may be repairable
If the frame is still straight and usable, replacing the mesh can restore the screen without replacing the entire assembly.
Bent frames may need replacement
A damaged frame can fit poorly, bow away from the opening or make fresh mesh difficult to tension correctly.
Sliding screen doors are their own category
Door-size screens use larger frames and different hardware, so they are handled separately from standard window screens.
Pet-resistant mesh can be an option
For homes where pets are hard on standard mesh, ask whether a more durable mesh is appropriate for the opening.
