Before Your Appointment

How to Prepare for Your Window Cleaning Appointment

A little preparation helps your cleaning visit go smoothly. You don’t need to pre-clean the glass—just help us reach the windows and let us know about anything that needs special attention.

1. Check Which Windows Are Included

Review whether your quote covers exterior-only cleaning, interior and exterior cleaning, screens, or the full package. If you only want certain windows cleaned, point those out before work starts. Let the office know if you want to add interior windows, garage-door windows, or another service so the crew can confirm the scope and price with you.

2. Make a Clear Path

Move small items such as plants, decorations and breakables away from the windows being cleaned. For interior work, clear the sills and give the crew room to reach the glass. Outside, move lightweight patio items that block access and let us know how to reach side yards or gated areas.

No need to wrestle with heavy furniture. Tell the office about anything difficult to move so we can discuss access ahead of the visit.

3. Tell Us About Your Screens

Some screens come out from outside; others need to be removed from inside the home. If you know how yours work, share that with us. Also mention any stuck screens, damaged frames, or loose hardware. Ask the office whether any preparation is needed instead of forcing a screen that does not release easily.

4. Plan for Pets and Property Access

Keep pets comfortably away from the work area and any doors or gates the crew will need to use. Make sure windows are closed before exterior cleaning begins. If interior cleaning is included, arrange entry with the office in advance.

Wondering whether you need to be home? Check with the office before your appointment. The answer depends on the service and the access needed, including whether screens must be reached from inside.

5. Point Out Anything Unusual

Let us know about hard-water spots, damaged glass, loose seals, fresh paint, or recent construction. These details help us understand what we’re working with before we begin. If you have a particular concern or a window that needs extra attention, show the crew at the start of the visit.

6. Ask About the Finishing Details

Residential interior window cleaning includes basic track vacuuming. If you’re looking for more detailed track work, or have a concern beyond the glass itself, describe it when requesting your quote so the expected work is clear.

Prefer to keep your windows on a regular schedule? Our residential service plans let you choose your service frequency, and we automatically schedule visits based on that schedule.
